The goal of Europe AF 2012 is to present contemporary knowledge and understanding of
the pathophysiology and treatment of Atrial Fibrillation to a diverse audience of medical
professionals so that they will understand:
- How to investigate patients suspected of suffering from AF
- When to start and how to choose drug therapy for AF
- When and how to anticoagulate and reduce stroke risk in patients with AF
- How to choose treatment that is appropriate for each individual AF patient
- When to refer patients for AF ablation
- How to perform AF ablation safely & effectively
- The various options for mapping and ablating AF
- The role of new therapies for AF
